The Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO) has partnered with Kenyatta University (KU) to bridge the engineering skills gap. This will form a link that will see the development of new products and technology in electricity transmission through scholarships, research funding and knowledge management consultancy. The scholarship, dubbed KETRACO Scholarship for Orphans & Vulnerable Students (KSOVS), will see KETRACO give Kshs. 1 million worth of scholarship to educate two female orphaned and vulnerable students in the Electrical or Civil Engineering faculty for five years.
