Occupational safety, health, and environment is defined as promoting the health of workers’ and the company’s host communities, making a safe working environment where the employees can work without being injured, using resources efficiently, preventing pollution, and improving biodiversity protection. Management of safety, health and environment is modeled in line with ISO 45001: 2018 (Occupational health and safety management systems — Requirements with guidance for use) for safety and health management and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental management systems — Requirements with guidance for use) for environmental management. Safety, health and environment programs are designed to ensure that the company complies with legal requirements e.g. the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2007; Environmental Management & Coordination Act, 1999; and Energy Act, 2019. Requirements of financiers are also considered.
