Scope

This project involves the construction of a 127km 400 kV double circuit line from Lessos substation in Kenya to Tororo in Uganda with a capacity of 1200MW.

Benefit

The project is part of the electricity network that will link Kenya to Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Eastern part of D.R. Congo under the Nile Equatorial Lakes Subsidiary Action Program (NELSAP). This will provide an avenue for power trade besides providing grid stability within the region.
