Project: Rabai - Galu Line

Remarks Completed May 2010
Objectives:
  • Enhanced Power Supply capacity, reliability and quality in the South Coast Sub-Region
  • Reduced system losses in the sub-region
  • Facilitated increased customer connectivity
Scope:
  • Constructed 60km of 132kV line in self supporting steel lattice towers with 175mm² (Lynx) ACSR conductor and provided a 12 core OPGW earth wire
  • At Rabai, extended the existing132kV busbar and constructed a 1½ breaker system circuit out-going feeder
  • At Galu, established 2x 23MVA, 132/33kV substation with 5x 33kV feeder bays
